Beef with spiced plums

8 Eye rump cenpe steaks, 25mm thick 150g portions

825 g can plums

0.25 cup sweet chilli sauce

0.25 cup chopped coriander leaves


  • Combine juice from plums, chilli sauce and coriander
  • Place steaks in deep dish. Pour over marinade. Add halved plums
  • Heat large non stick frying pan over high heat
  • Drain steaks well from marinade and cook for 3 minutes on each side until well browned. Remove to warm plate and cover loosely with foil
  • Reduce heat to moderate. Add marinade to pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes until thickened. Return steaks to pan. Toss in sauce and serve immediately
  • Tips

    • Serve with steamed green vegetables
